Media Training: Promote Your Expertise and Research to a Global Audience

October 11, 2018 @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Do you feel comfortable doing interviews with journalists for TV, radio or print stories? Can you explain your research without using jargon?
You can remove the stress of an interview by being prepared, which puts you in control and increases the likelihood that you’ll get fair and accurate media coverage.
This media training will help you effectively deliver your message by tackling several topics, such as:
— Why you should deal with the media.
— What to expect from an interview.
— What to do in an interview to appear relaxed and knowledgeable.
This session will be led by Jared Wadley, senior public relations representative at Michigan News, which promotes research, major events, expertise and programs to enhance the university’s reputation around the world. He has more than 25 years of experience in higher education public relations and journalism.
