Department Climate: Creating a Welcoming and Supportive Environment

This workshop offers a working definition of climate and an evidence-based case for caring about climate. Participants will learn strategies for improving climate, as well as small steps and “levers” that can be employed by unit leaders to shift climate for respect and inclusion.
The frameworks presented at this event will be familiar to previous attendees of a RISE Committee Raising Respect workshop. We still encourage previous attendees of Raising Respect to attend this session, as it contains significantly expanded content and interactive components that center BIPOC faculty experiences.
