The Committee on Strategies and Tactics for Recruiting to Improve Diversity and Excellence (STRIDE) offers Faculty Recruitment Workshops for faculty members with an important role in faculty recruitment efforts (e.g., search committee chairs and members, and other key faculty). These workshops are designed to provide them both with background information and concrete advice about practices that make searches more successful in producing diverse candidate pools and hiring the candidates you want to attract. Workshops will be scheduled for the fall term. The workshop dates and registration link will be posted by mid-August. These workshops are open to all faculty.

In addition, the Committee offers a campus-wide informational session for staff who support faculty searches. The session is offered annually in winter. In past sessions offered to staff, we have found that staff are extremely interested in what STRIDE is doing, and of course we know that staff are crucial to the search process and its success. The date for this session will be announced at a later time.
