Fall 2016 STRIDE Faculty Recruitment Workshops

The committee on Strategies and Tactics for Recruiting to Increase Diversity and Excellence (STRIDE) is again offering Faculty Recruitment Workshops for faculty members with an important role in faculty recruitment efforts (e.g., search committee chairs and members, and other key faculty). These workshops are designed to provide them both with background information and concrete advice about practices that make searches more successful (in producing diverse candidate pools and hiring the candidates you want to attract). Faculty members planning to attend a session must register to reserve a space.

Six identical workshops are scheduled for this fall term; these six workshops are open to all faculty serving on search committees. A seventh workshop (scheduled for Friday, November 4) is only open to faculty who have previously attended a STRIDE Faculty Recruitment Workshop. Please contact advanceprogram@umich.edu with any questions.
